Synectics announces Simon Beswick to its Board as upcoming Finance Director

– UK, Studley – Synectics plc (AIM:SNX), a leader in the design, integration, control and management of advanced surveillance technology and networked security systems, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Simon Beswick as Finance Director Designate, with immediate effect. On 30 November 2018, following the previously announced departure of the Company’s current Finance Director, Mike Stilwell, Mr Beswick will be appointed to the Company’s Board of Directors as Finance Director. This period of overlap will allow for a thorough transition of responsibilities.

About Simon Beswick

Mr Beswick brings a varied background in large and smaller engineering and technology companies, with wide international experience in both finance and general management. Mr Beswick holds an MA in Engineering from Cambridge University and an MBA from Oxford University. He is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants. Until 2004 Mr Beswick was European Finance and Legal Director of Rohm & Haas (a Fortune 500 specialty chemicals company at the time listed on the NYSE). After two years as Finance Director of Midland Heart (a £130m social enterprise company), from 2007 to 2016 Mr Beswick was Finance Director and subsequently Managing Director of Tritech International, a subsidiary of FTSE 100 listed Halma plc involved in specialist subsea engineering products for the oil & gas and defence industries. He oversaw the sale of Tritech to Moog, Inc. and was retained by them to complete the post-acquisition integration. Most recently, he has provided management and accountancy advisory services and is a trustee of a £4.5 billion pension fund.
