– UK, London – Standard Life Equity Income Trust PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeremy Tigue as an independent non-executive Director to the Board, with effect from 1 October 2014.
Mr Tigue is the Chairman of BACIT Limited (Battle against Cancer Investment Trust), and is a non-executive Director of Graphite Enterprise Trust PLC, The Mercantile Investment Trust plc and The Monks Investment Trust PLC.
He was the Fund Manager of Foreign & Colonial Investment Trust PLC from 1997 to June 2014.
Mr Tigue was a Director of the Association of Investment Companies (“AIC”) from 2003 to 2013. During his time at the AIC, he was Deputy Chairman and Member of the Audit Committee 2006-2010, Chairman of the Remuneration Committee 2007-2012 and Chairman of the Institutional Shareholders’ Committee from 2006-2008.
