St. Modwen Properties appoints Sarah Whitney to its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, Birmingham –  St. Modwen Properties PLC (LON: SMP), expert developer and regeneration specialist, today announced that Sarah Whitney will be appointed as a non-executive director with immediate effect. Sarah will join the Audit, Nomination and Remuneration Committees of the Board on her appointment.

She has extensive experience of real estate across the entire life cycle of the industry as well as a strong financial background and experience of governance matters. About Sarah Whitney

Sarah, a Chartered Accountant, has more than 30 years’ experience in the real estate and corporate finance sectors, including a particular focus on public-private partnerships. She currently holds several senior appointments including acting as a member of the Supervisory Board of FTSE250-listed global infrastructure investment company, BBGI SICAV SA; trustee and chair of the audit committee at The Land Restoration Trust; and trustee and chair of the investment committee at The Canal & River Trust. She is Treasurer and a member of the Council of University College London, where she also chairs the Investment Committee and a Senior Visiting Fellow at the University of Cambridge Department of Land Economy.

Sarah’s prior roles include five years as an Executive Director at CBRE until 2012, three years as a Managing Director at DTZ Holdings, and seven years at PricewaterhouseCoopers specialising in corporate finance.
