Spirax-Sarco appoints Caroline Johnstone to its Board as Independent Director

– UK, Cheltenham – Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc (LON:SPX), the world leader in the control and efficient use of steam, electrical thermal energy solutions, and peristaltic pumping and associated fluid path technologies, announces that Caroline Johnstone will join the Board as an Independent Non‑Executive Director effective 5th March 2019, in accordance with the ongoing succession planning. She will be a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees.

About Caroline Johnstone

Caroline has had a highly successful career spanning nearly 40 years and is a chartered accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. She was a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers until 2009 and worked extensively with large global organisations on turnaround, culture change, delivering value from mergers and acquisitions and cost optimisation programmes. She sat on the board of the Assurance practice of PwC in the UK. She is currently an independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Synthomer plc and Shepherd Group Ltd, a private company which owns Portakabin Limited, and is a member of the Governing body of the University of Leeds. She also provides extensive consulting services to a range of global chemical and industrial organisations.
