– SWITZERLAND, Zurich – SIX Group today announced the elections of Andreas Utermann, Sven Holstenson, and Roger Reist to its Board of Directors, effective immediately.
They succeed three long-standing Board members Herbert Scheidt, Lorenz von Habsburg Lothringen, and Dr. Jürg Gutzwiller who resigned.
“The addition of these highly experienced professionals to the SIX Board of Directors will strengthen the company’s leadership and provide valuable insights as the group continues to drive innovation in the financial industry. They will play a pivotal role in the company’s continued growth and success,” said Board Chairman, Dr. Thomas Wellauer.
About Andreas E.F. Utermann
Andreas Utermann, a British and German citizen, is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bank Vontobel AG and Vontobel Holding AG since 2022 and Member of the Board of Directors since 2021. Utermann has a strong background in finance, with previous roles including CEO and Global CIO of Allianz Global Investors Group. Before that, he spent 12 years in various functions at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. Utermann also serves as Governor at Birkbeck, University of London, and Trustee at FT Financial Literacy and Inclusion Campaign.
About Sven Holstenson
Sven Holstenson, a Swiss citizen, is a designated Managing Partner of Pictet Group, responsible for Pictet Technologies & Operations and Pictet Asset Services. Holstenson has held various roles at Pictet since joining in 2012 and was heading Europe for Pictet Wealth Management until the end of April 2023.
He holds a master’s degree from EPFL, an MBA from INSEAD, and is a Certified International Investment Analyst.
About Roger Reist
Roger Reist, also a Swiss citizen, is a member of the Executive Board of Raiffeisen Switzerland and heads the Corporate Clients, Treasury & Markets business unit. With a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Zurich and certifications as a Certified International and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, Reist has held various management positions at Zürcher Kantonalbank and worked as an interest rate trader for UBS Investment Bank and auditor for banks at PricewaterhouseCoopers International.
The remaining members of the Board of Directors of SIX were confirmed and will remain in their positions for their elected mandates.
