– UK, Edinburgh – Securities Trust of Scotland plc (LSE:STS) today announced the appointment of Sarah Harvey as a non-executive director of the Company, with effect from 1st October 2018.
Ms Harvey was previously the UK Managing Director of Square Inc, the US listed fintech company, where she was responsible for overseeing UK strategy, business development, marketing and sales. Prior to this, she was Chief Operating Officer at Tough Mudder, the world’s largest leading obstacle events business, with responsibility for global operations and international expansion. Ms Harvey has extensive experience in corporate strategy, marketing, and operations. Her career started with Bain & Company, before working on a range of international development projects for not-for-profit organisations and businesses in Africa, after which she moved to Diageo plc where she was responsible for the company’s growth strategy in Africa. Ms Harvey is currently researching a new business opportunity in the travel sector.
