Schroder Real Estate Investment Trust welcomes Ali Innes to its Board as Independent Director

– GUERNSEY, St. Peter Port –  Schroder Real Estate Investment Trust (LON: SREI) today announced the appointment of Ali Innes to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective from 16 November 2022.

“I am delighted to welcome Ali to the Board. Her extensive career in financial services, non-executive roles relating to the UK economy, real estate, and a keen interest in sustainability are all directly relevant to our strategy,” said Board Chairman, Alastair Hughes.

Alexandra will also join the management engagement committee as Chair and the audit and nomination committees as a member.

The Company also announced that Graham Basham retired from the Board on 15 November 2022.

About Alexandra Innes

Ali Innes is a member of the Group Executive Board at Knight Frank LLP, a Non-executive Committee Member at the Bank of England, and a Non-executive Director of Securities Trust of Scotland PLC. Ali Innes is also a Non-executive Director of Facilities by ADF plc, the UCI Cycling World Championships Ltd, and previously served on the board of the All England Lawn Tennis Club (Championships) Ltd and the AELT Ground plc.

Ali’s executive career spanned investment banking, global capital markets, and investment management, most latterly as Managing Director, at Barclays plc, and before that as Director of Global Capital Markets at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Ali Innes holds an M.A. Hons Economics from Cambridge University and is a Fellow of Chapter Zero. She is a Green and Sustainable Finance Professional, a Chartered Banking Institute, a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments, and holds the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG investing.
