Schroder Income Growth Fund appoints Fraser McIntyre to its Board as Independent Director

– UK, London –  Schroder Income Growth Fund plc (LON: SCF) today announced the appointment of Fraser McIntyre as an independent non-executive director of the Company, effective 17 December 2019. Mr McIntyre has also been appointed a member of the Audit and Risk, Nomination and Remuneration, and Management Engagement Committees.

The Company also announced that Ian Barby retired as a director of the Company at the annual general meeting held on 17 December 2019. The board thanks Ian for his invaluable contribution to the Company over the last 14 years.

About Fraser McIntyre

Mr McIntyre has nearly 30 years of experience in financial services, including asset management, investment banking and audit. He started his career auditing financial services before working in the prime brokerage/equity divisions of two banks. He has been COO at several multi-billion dollar hedge funds where he was responsible for overseeing all operational areas of the business, including finance and accounting, operations, risk, legal and compliance. He has sat on a number of fund and management company boards whose investments covered a wide range of asset classes across traditional and alternative strategies.

Mr McIntyre is a Chartered Accountant. He has held a variety of executive positions within the financial services sector, most recently as Chief Operating Officer of Cantab Capital LLP which became part of GAM.
