River and Mercantile Group appoints Miriam Greenwood to its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, London – River and Mercantile Group PLC (LON: RIV) today announced that Miriam Greenwood has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 28 May 2019. She will become Chair of the Company’s Remuneration Committee with effect from 1 July 2019.

Jonathan Dawson, the Chairman, said: “We are delighted to appoint Miriam as a non-executive director. She has extensive financial sector and remuneration experience which will be very important to River and Mercantile as we grow.”

As previously announced, Robin Minter-Kemp, the current Chairman of the Remuneration Committee, will retire on 30 June 2019.

Miriam currently serves as the Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee of Smart Metering Systems plc (LON: SMS), as Non-Executive Director of Eclipse Shipping Ltd and as a partner of SPARK Advisory Partners. She is an adviser to OFGEM and the Mayor of London’s Energy Efficiency Fund.

Miriam previously served as a Non-Executive Director of Telit Communications PLC and Mithras Investment Trust Plc.

Miriam has extensive financial industry experience and was a founding partner of SPARK Advisory Partners and has held senior roles with a number of major financial institutions.
