Premier Foods announces Keith Hamill to its Board of Directors as upcoming Chairman

– UK, St Albans – Premier Foods plc (LSE:PFD), is pleased to announce the appointment of Keith Hamill, OBE, as non-executive Chairman of the Company. Keith will join the Board on 1 October as non-executive Chairman designate and will be appointed as Chairman on 9 November. On Keith’s appointment, and as previously announced, David Beever will step down from the Board after nine years with the Company and five years as Chairman.

David Beever, Chairman, said: “It has been a privilege to have served as Chairman of Premier Foods for five years and to have worked with such a talented and dedicated executive team. I wish Keith, the Board, and the Company every success in the future and believe Premier Foods is well positioned for future growth.”

Keith Hamill currently serves as non-executive director of Easyjet plc and Samsonite International S.A. Keith has also served as non-executive director of TP ICAP plc (formerly Tullett Prebon plc), Max Property Group plc and Bagir Group Limited over the last five years.

Keith Hamill is a highly experienced Chairman and non-executive director – including UK and international businesses and private equity investments, many of which involved consumer facing brands.

He is currently a non-executive director of easyJet plc and Samsonite International S.A. and was previously Chairman of Travelodge , Tullett Prebon, Moss Bros , Collins Stewart, Go and Avant Homes as well as non-executive director of Electrocomponents. Earlier in his career he was a partner at PwC and was Group Finance Director of Forte plc and WHSmith Group plc.
