Polar Capital appoints David Lamb to the Board as Non-Executive Director and next Chairman alongside Andrew Ross joining as Non-Executive Director

– UK, London –  Polar Capital Holdings Plc (LON: POLR), the specialist active asset management group, today announced the appointments of David Lamb and Andrew Ross to the Board of Directors effective on 9 April 2020.  It is anticipated that David Lamb will be appointed Non-Executive Chairman following the retirement of Tom Bartlam at the next Annual General Meeting.

David will succeed Tom Bartlam who was appointed to the Board in July 2007 and became Chairman in September 2007. He will also take on the chairmanship of the Nomination Committee and join the Remuneration Committee following the AGM.

With the appointment of David Lamb and Andrew Ross, Mr Cayzer- Colvin will step down from the Audit and Risk, Nomination, and Remuneration Committees at the conclusion of the AGM.

About David Lamb

David Lamb has over 30 years’ leadership experience within the asset management sector, including as Managing Director and Chairman of the Investment Committee at St James’s Place plc, responsible for £115bn in AUM, having joined the firm at inception and been a member of the main PLC board since 2007. David is also currently a Non-Executive Director of the Henderson Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Governors of the University of West of England.

About Andrew Ross

Andrew Ross is a highly experienced financial services practitioner having spent over 20 years in senior roles at investment and wealth management firms. Andrew was CEO of Cazenove Capital Management from 2001, growing assets from £7bn to £24bn until its acquisition by Schroders plc in 2013, where he became Global Head of Wealth Management. Andrew is currently Vice-Chairman Wealth Management at Schroders plc and a Non-Executive Director of Witan Investment Trust plc where he is due to take over as Chairman at the next AGM in April.

Andrew will be joining the Audit and Risk, Nomination and Remuneration Committees following the AGM.
