PeopleFluent appoints Jon Salon as the Chairman of the Board of Directors

– USA, MA – PeopleFluent®, a leading cloud provider of social human capital management technology, today announced the appointment of Jon Salon, a board member since 2010, as chairman of the board. Charles S. Jones, previous board chair, moves from his post, but remains a director on the board. Mr. Jones is the managing partner of Bedford Funding, owner of PeopleFluent. The appointment of Mr. Salon follows a planned one-year transition with Jeff Carr, who was appointed CEO of PeopleFluent in the fall of 2013 as successor to Mr. Jones.

The PeopleFluent business has experienced recent powerful growth with a 40 percent increase in annual recurring revenue bookings in the third quarter of 2014, as compared to the same quarter in 2013. In addition, the business closed in excess of 400 deals in the most recent quarter, increasing annual recurring revenue bookings 71 percent over the prior quarter. This impressive momentum is propelled by PeopleFluent’s Mirror™ Suite vision, which embeds pervasive video, leading social capabilities and advanced analytics across all of its Talent Management solutions to advance collaboration and engagement across organizations. In the last few months, the Company also announced new leadership in key customer-facing positions with the recent appointments of Juan Albelo, as senior vice president of sales, and Courtney Harkins as chief customer officer.

“I am confident our customers will be served well by an impressive leadership team and continued innovation across all of our Talent Management solutions and services,” commented Mr. Jones. “Building PeopleFluent to today’s inflection point, together with a devoted and passionate group of employees, has been inspiring and deeply fulfilling. I complete my transition with full confidence and deep pride in all that lies ahead for this business, its employees and its customers.”

Mr. Salon moves to his expanded post following a four-year tenure on the PeopleFluent Board. He is also a managing director at Bedford Funding. Mr. Salon worked on all the acquisitions of PeopleFluent’s core businesses and has been one of the key team members to help execute the PeopleFluent vision through acquisition, integration and business partnership strategies. With more than 20 years in the software market, he has worked as an investor and as an operating executive in both large international public companies and emerging growth businesses.
