Penn National Insurance welcomes Ellen Rinaldi to its Board of Directors

– USA, PA –  Pennsylvania National Mutual Casualty Insurance Company today announced the election of Ellen Rinaldi to its board of directors.

Rinaldi retired in 2018 as chief security officer and chief information security officer at The Vanguard Group, Valley Forge, Pa.

Board chair, Stephen Swanson said: “We are very pleased to welcome Ellen to our board. As a financial services company, Penn National Insurance demands the utmost integrity and security of its data. Ellen’s legal and business background and her extensive expertise in IT, especially in cybersecurity, will make her an asset to the board.”

Rinaldi gained broad experience in a variety of leadership positions in the insurance industry early in her career, working at Travelers, Connecticut Mutual and New England Life Insurance Companies, followed by 23 years at The Vanguard Group.

Rinaldi said, “I am honored to join this fine company’s board and to offer my professional expertise to enhance the organization.”

She earned a B.A. from the University of Connecticut, a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School and an L.L.M. in taxation from Boston University Law School.
