Oracle Power appoints Glen Lewis to its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, London –  Oracle Power PLC (LON: ORCP) today announced the appointment of Glen Lewis to its Board of Directors, as a Non-Executive Director, with immediate effect.

With a career in the coal industry spanning over 30 years, he has built up an extensive network of relationships and track record. Oracle is making this appointment now as we look to the ultimate development of Block VI in Pakistan, where we believe his experience will prove a significant asset to the Company and provide genuine technical asset-level understanding, complementing the expertise already within the Company and amongst its project partners.” said Mark Steed, Chairman.

Mr Lewis is a senior Coal Mine Manager with a wealth of experience having worked in the coal industry since the 1980s. Throughout his career, he has focused on operational mine management. Glen has developed a number of significant coal deposits, including United Colliery and Dartbrook Coal in the Hunter Valley in Australia.

He was the Operations Manager at Oceanic Coal following its acquisition by Xstrata Coal in 1999. Mr Lewis continued to hold a number of senior roles with the company, culminating in his appointment as General Manager of Operations at Xstrata Coal in 2003. Here he held responsibility for six operating mines and several projects under construction, until his departure from the company in 2008.

Glen was appointed Managing Director of NuCoal Resources Ltd (ASX: NCR) in 2010, overseeing the listing, capital raising, exploration and feasibility studies for a number of mining projects in the Hunter Valley. Glen stepped down as Managing Director in 2017 to focus on advisory opportunities in the public and private sector. He remains a Non-executive Director at the firm.
