North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust appointed Sir Charles Wake to its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, London – North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC (LSE:NAS), today announced that Kristian Siem decided not to offer himself for re-election at the Annual General Meeting and so left the Board on 26 June 2018. The Company would like to thank him for his support over many years.

The Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Sir Charles Wake as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 27 June 2018.

Sir Charles Wake started as a management trainee with Whitbread’s in 1972 and left in 1980. Since then he has been a director of various companies including sheet metal engineers, motor retailers, off-licences, pubs, bonded warehouses, farming and healthcare. He was chairman of St Andrew’s Healthcare from 2004-2014 having been on the board since 1991. Sir Charles Wake does not hold any shares in the Company, and no other information is required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R in relation to his appointment as a director of the Company.
