– UK, London – NewRiver REIT PLC (LSE:NRR), is pleased to announce the appointment of Baroness Ford of Cunninghame as the Company’s Senior Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 1st September 2017.
Margaret Ford has over 20 years’ experience as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of private and Stock Exchange listed companies and extensive experience of working with Government. She is currently Chairman of STV Group plc and Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of SEGRO plc. Margaret was previously a Non-Executive Director of Taylor Wimpey plc and the former Chairman of both Grainger plc and May Gurney Integrated Services plc. She is Chairman of the Tennis Foundation and National President of the British Epilepsy Association. From 2002 to 2008, she was Chairman of English Partnerships and from 2009 to 2012, she was a member of the Olympic Board and Chairman of the Olympic Park Legacy Company. Margaret was appointed to the House of Lords in 2006 and sits as an Independent Peer.

Following the appointment of Margaret Ford, the Board of NewRiver will be comprised of Paul Roy (Independent Chairman), Margaret Ford (Senior Independent Non-Executive Director), Kay Chaldecott (Independent Non-Executive Director), Alastair Miller (Independent Non-Executive Director), David Lockhart (Chief Executive Officer), Mark Davies (Chief Financial Officer) and Allan Lockhart (Property Director).
Margaret will also be appointed a member to the Board’s Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees.
