NDC announces Dean Schauer as President and CEO

FREMONT, Calif. – Nitinol Devices & Components (NDC) today announced the appointment of Dean Schauer as its President and CEO, effective September 1, 2013.

“We are delighted to welcome someone as singularly qualified as Dean to take NDC to the next stage of its development,” said Tom Duerig, current President and CEO. “Dean is an experienced senior executive in integrated outsourced engineering and manufacturing services and brings more than 20 years of relevant industry experience to this role. He has held a number of increasingly senior positions at Accellent Inc. and most recently served as its Executive Vice President and General Manager of their Cardio & Vascular Group. I personally am looking forward to helping Dean move the company forward while engaging in a more focused technical role within NDC.” Dean will also join NDC’s board of directors, currently chaired by Rick Charpie of Ampersand Capital Partners.
