Nanoco Group appoints Dr Alison Fielding to its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, Manchester – Nanoco Group plc (LSE:NANO), a world leader in the development and manufacture of cadmium-free quantum dots and other nanomaterials, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Alison Fielding as a Non-executive Director with effect from 20 April 2017.

Alison is Director of Strategy and IP Impact at IP Group and is currently a Non-executive Director of Getech Group plc. She holds an MBA from Manchester Business School, a PhD in organic chemistry and a first-class degree in chemistry from the University of Glasgow. Alison started her career at Zeneca PLC (now Astra Zeneca) followed by five years at McKinsey & Company and later co-founded Techtran Group Limited which was acquired by IP Group in 2005 where she held the role of director and COO until 2013. Whilst at IP Group, she also sat on the board of and advised several early stage and quoted IP Group backed technology companies.

Alison’s appointment follows the announcement in January that Robin Williams would stand down as a Non-executive Director in July due to other commitments. Alison will succeed Robin as Chair of the Audit Committee on 13 July 2017. She will also be a member of the Remuneration Committee.

Alison has been a director of several publicly quoted companies, including Fusion IP plc, hVIVO plc, IP Group plc and Tissue Regenix Group plc.
