MiniLuxe appoints Zoe Krislock as CEO

– USA, MA –  MiniLuxe announced today that its board of directors has appointed Zoe Krislock as Chief Executive Officer. Effective as of October 15, 2018, Krislock will assume leadership of all of MiniLuxe’s day-to-day operations and drive its strategic direction for the company’s next phase of growth.

“On behalf of the board of directors of MiniLuxe and our 500-plus employees, I am extremely excited and proud to announce Zoe Krislock as our CEO. After an extensive search, we could not be more proud and confident that Zoe offers the right type of values and leadership that we are seeking for MiniLuxe’s scale-up phase of growth. Her proven track-record in creating great employee cultures, being manically focused on the end-user experience, and having a very deep experience of the journey of the modern female customer is exactly what we were seeking in a CEO,” said Tony Tjan, co-founder and Executive Chairman of MiniLuxe and CEO of Cue Ball Group.

Since its founding in 2008, MiniLuxe has been on the mission to celebrate its purpose of self-care and to “Starbuck” the nail salon.

About Zoe Krislock

Prior to joining Miniluxe, Krislock spent over 10 years at Nike, first joining the company to expand the NikeWomen service model and fleet of business in North America, Europe and Asia. In addition to spending her entire career developing top female leaders across the globe, Zoe has had multiple areas of P+L leadership including running Nike’s retail and commerce for Canada and the US Midwest and helming the growth of the brand’s factory stores.

Beyond her “four-wall” and digital leadership, Krislock also innovated and incorporated community-based events to reinforce the broader mission of Nike’s brand and created the strategy for penetrating into new women markets. She will carry over those experiences to MiniLuxe at a timely moment, as the nail care brand begins to expand its celebration of women entrepreneurs and ethical beauty with new offerings and in-studio events. Krislock began her career as a merchandise manager, buyer, and department manager at Nordstrom, and also spent seven years at The Gap during its most important growth phase.

Started by Cue Ball, the Boston-based venture capital and holding group, MiniLuxe was founded by two biology majors from Harvard who saw an opportunity to offer the highest standards of hygiene, clean beauty, and quality of services within the nail salon industry. Today MiniLuxe is the leading brand in nail care services with 25 studios across the country and has developed its own proprietary line of nail care products to include a signature line of responsible luxury nail polishes. The purpose-driven MiniLuxe brand stands for having the cleanest and highest quality of nail and waxing services through the celebration of mini-moments of self-care.

“I could not be more excited to take on this role at MiniLuxe and all the growth potential that lies ahead. It’s rare to have a brand and concept that is so relevant in its moment through clean beauty, an authentically purpose-driven brand, and experiential retailing and services. Having worked my entire in lifestyle brands, the opportunity to lead, build, and scale such a brand is a unique opportunity and a true privilege,” said Krislock.
