Sir Nigel Rudd, Chairman, said: “On behalf of the Board I would like to thank David Williams for the part he has played on the Board of Directors since 2006 and particularly for the significant contribution he has made in his role as Chairman of the Audit Committee and Senior Independent Director. I am sure Paul will make an excellent successor for David as Senior Independent Director.

I am also delighted to welcome Colin on to the Board of Meggitt. He brings significant commercial and financial expertise from his current role as Chief Executive Officer of Essentra and, previously, as Chief Financial Officer of Reckitt Benckiser. In total, Colin has more than 25 years of experience at blue chip companies including non-executive positions across a range of industries, and I am confident he will be a great addition to the Board.”
