MC Mining appoints An Chee Sin and Brian Zhen to its Board as Non-Executive Directors

– AUSTRALIA, Mt Pleasant – MC Mining Limited (AIM, ASX, JSE: MCM) announced today a number of additions to its Board of Directors with immediate effect.

 

An Chee Sin will be joining the Company as a Non-Executive Director. Mr Chee Sin is an Accredited Tax Practitioner with the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals and is also a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants. He has more than 17 years of extensive experience in international and local corporate taxation.

In 2004, Mr Chee Sin co-founded Pinnacle Tax Services Pte Ltd. Prior to joining Pinnacle Tax he held the position of Director of Corporate Tax with KPMG and has coordinated various advisory projects, including cross-border fund structures, corporate restructurings, treasury and mergers and acquisitions. Mr Chee Sin joins the board as a shareholder nominee for Summer Trees Pte LTD, which holds 9.15% of MC Mining’s issued shares.

Mr “Brian” He Zhen also joins as a Non-Executive Director of MC Mining. Mr Zhen holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Sichuan University and is currently Marketing and Public Relations Executive for Pan African Mining Pvt. Ltd. Between 2012 and 2015, he worked as Managing Director of Real Gain Investment Pvt. Ltd and was responsible for infrastructure and construction market development, as well as overseas market investments. Mr Zhen has previously served as Construction Manager for CRI – Eagle Investments (Pty) Ltd and Eagle Canyon Investments (Pty) Ltd. Mr Zhen is joining the board as a shareholder nominee for Yishun Brightrise Investment Pte LTD, which owns 15.20% of the Company.

As announced on 30 November 2017, Brenda Berlin has joined the Company as Chief Financial Officer. Ms Berlin joins MC Mining from Impala Platinum Holdings Limited, where she held the position of Group CFO. Ms Berlin joined Implats in 2004 and held a number of senior appointments including head of group corporate finance activities until her appointment as CFO in 2011. Ms Berlin is a Chartered Accountant who obtained degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand and completed her articles at PwC South Africa.

Prior to working at Implats, Ms Berlin worked for Johnnic Holdings Limited in the corporate finance department and following its unbundling, remained with JCI Limited assuming responsibility for business development. After leaving JCI she commenced working for Southern Mining Corporation Limited.
