Maven Income & Growth VCT announces Drs Alison Fielding and Andrew Harrington to its Board as upcoming Non-Executive Directors

– UK, London – Maven Income & Growth VCT (LON:MIG1) today announced the appointments of Dr Alison Fielding and Dr Andrew Harrington as Non-executive Directors, each with effect from 1 January 2019. Both of these new Directors will also serve on the Company’s Audit, Management Engagement, Nomination, Risk and Remuneration Committees, and will stand for election by Shareholders at the Annual General Meeting to be held in July 2019

As announced on 26 September 2018, alongside the publication of the Prospectus for the Offer for Subscription, the Board now confirms that Fiona Wollocombe will resign as a Non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 24 January 2019. Mrs Wollocombe has been a Director of the Company since 20 May 2004, serving as its Chairman from 7 July 2005 until 8 July 2010, and the Board wishes to record its gratitude for the significant contribution Fiona made during her time in office and extends to her its best wishes for the future.

About Dr Alison Fielding

Dr Fielding is an experienced entrepreneur, senior executive and non-executive director, with a track record of leading strategy within both large and small organisations to set direction, evaluate options, implement plans and drive performance. She is currently a venture partner at IP Group plc, with her role there including two non-executive directorships with portfolio companies; Perachem Holdings plc, of which she is chairman, and Getech Group plc, where she chairs the audit committee.

Alison has held a number of other non-executive roles and her other current appointments include non-executive directorships of Nanoco Group plc and Queen Mary Innovation Limited, and serving as a trustee of the Royal Voluntary Service and the Carnegie Trust for the Universities of Scotland.

About Dr Andrew Harrington

Dr Harrington is co-owner of AHV Associates LLP, which was formed in 2001 and works alongside management teams and shareholders across many sectors to advise on transactions, such as the purchase or sale of companies and capital raising.

Andrew was previously founder and chief executive of Nextcall Telecom, a business backed by venture and private investor capital, before which he was managing director at Salomon Brothers, where he advised on investment, IPOs, secondary public market offerings and mergers & acquisitions.
