– UK – Lowland Investment Company plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Duncan Budge as a non-executive director to the Board with effect from 14 July 2014.
Mr Peter Troughton, Chairman of Lowland Investment Company plc, said “the Directors and I are delighted that Duncan has agreed to join us bringing to the Board his valuable experience from his extensive career in the investment trust sector gained whilst at RIT Capital Partners plc (“RIT”)”.
He was formerly a director and Chief Operating Officer at RIT having been appointed in 1995. He had been a director of J Rothschild Capital Management Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of RIT, since 1988. Prior to this he spent six years at Lazard Brothers & Co Limited. Duncan is also on the board of The Dunedin Enterprise Investment Trust PLC, having been appointed a non-executive director in 2012 and taking the role of Chairman in 2014. He is also Chairman of Spencer House Limited and a non-executive director of The World Trust Fund and Artemis Alpha Trust plc.
