– USA, NC / FL – KURE Corp. is pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony Kennedy Shriver to our KURE Board of Directors, effective May 1, 2015.
Mr. Shriver is the Chairman/CEO of Best Buddies® International, a nonprofit organization he founded in 1989. The organization is dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Best Buddies has grown from one original chapter to almost 1,900 middle school, high school, and college chapters worldwide. In addition, Best Buddies International engages participation programs in each of the 50 states in the U.S., and over 50 countries worldwide. Mr. Shriver, who graduated from Georgetown University, has been recognized for his work on behalf of Best Buddies International with diverse honorary degrees and worldwide recognition.
