Keystone Investment Trust announces Board member Karen Brade as next Chair of the Board of Directors

– UK, Henley-on-Thames – Keystone Investment Trust plc (LSE:KIT), announces that Mrs Beatrice Hollond will step down as Chairman and non-executive Director of the Company at the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting on 22 January 2019. Mrs Hollond joined the Board in September 2003 and became Chairman of the Board and Nomination Committee in December 2010.

Mr Armfield, Chairman of the Company’s Audit Committee said: “on behalf of the Board, I’d like to acknowledge Beatrice’s exceptional contribution to the Company over the past 15 years and to thank her for her leadership and support as Chairman and fellow Director. We wish her well for the future.”

The Board is pleased to announce that Mrs Karen Brade, who became a non-executive Director of the Company on 18 January 2018, will become Chairman of the Company and Chairman of the Nomination Committee following the conclusion of the AGM.

Mrs Brade has over 25 years of investment experience in a range of sectors and markets, and is an experienced non-executive director. She began her career at Citibank working on multi-national project finance transactions. She was a director at CDC, the UK’s development finance institution, where she worked in the investment and portfolio management teams, and on fund raising and investor development. Since 2005, she has been an adviser to hedge funds, family offices and private equity houses. Mrs Brade is currently Chairman of Aberdeen Japan Investment Trust plc. She is also a non-executive director of Augmentum Fintech plc and Crown Place VCT plc. She is an external member of Albion Capital’s Investment Committee.
