John Menzies announces Jeremy Stafford to Board as upcoming CEO

– UK – John Menzies plc, the global aviation services provider and print media distributor, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeremy Stafford as Chief Executive Officer with effect from 2 October 2014.

Jeremy brings experience of leading and growing large scale international contracting businesses and has a strong track record both operationally and strategically starting at British Airways and then built up over 16 years with BT, with Phoenix IT Group and Serco Plc. Most recently Jeremy was Chief Executive of Serco UK and Europe, a division which had revenues of £2.5bn representing half of Serco Group.  The division employed over 35,000 people across the UK and Europe.  

Prior to this, Jeremy was Chief Executive of Serco Civil Government with revenues of £1.1bn and 14,000 employees.  The division was responsible for transport, health, welfare to work services and justice.  He oversaw the successful delivery of 14 separate contracts for Serco’s Olympic programme, including the redesign and expansion of the London Cycle Hire Scheme.
