Interserve announces Glyn Barker to its Board of Directors as upcoming Chairman

– UK, Twyford – Interserve, the international support services and construction group, is pleased to announce that Glyn Barker is to join the Board from 1 January 2016 and will become Chairman on 1 March 2016.

Lord Blackwell announced last February that, after nine years as Chairman, he planned to stand down once a successor had been found. He will retire from the Board on 29th February 2016.

Glyn has extensive experience as a business leader and adviser to FTSE100 companies and their boards on a wide variety of corporate and finance issues.

Glyn is a Non-Executive director of Aviva plc and of Berkeley Group Holdings plc, Chairman of Irwin Mitchell, Chairman of Transocean Partners LLC and Deputy Chairman of English National Opera.

Until December 2011 Glyn was Vice Chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) UK. He also held a number of other senior positions at PwC, including UK Managing Partner, UK Head of Assurance and a member of its UK Management Board. He also built PwC’s private equity focused Transactions business.
