Immedia Group appoints Tim Hipperson to its Board as Non-Executive Chairman

– UK, Newbury – Immedia Group plc (AIM:IME), a supplier of multi-media content solutions for leading brands and global businesses, announces that Geoff Howard-Spink has today stepped down as Non-Executive Chairman of the Company.

Geoff Howard-Spink commented that: “In the Annual Report in April, I said that further strengthening of the board was an aim and Tim Hipperson’s appointment to a leadership role, bringing fresh insights and current experience to the business should be welcomed by shareholders.”

In addition, today, following a Company Board meeting, the Company has appointed Tim Hipperson as its new Non-executive Chairman.

Tim is an innovative and award-winning business leader with specialist knowledge in digital technology, data, content development, media and mobile. He has a proven track record of helping companies develop and deliver innovative business plans, mergers, acquisitions, business change programmes and significant growth having held CEO positions within WPP, Interpublic Group and Publicis Groupe and more recently as Interim CEO at Weve Limited, the jointly funded mobile venture invested in by O2, EE and Vodafone.

Tim has his own consultancy business, Morph Management Ltd, running strategic business reviews, business change and M&A projects, and advises the investment market (PE/VC) on current and future investment opportunities in technology-based companies. Tim is inherently interested in innovative digital businesses.

Tim is an Elevator for [email protected] and has previously held roles on the WPP Digital Council, Facebook UK Advisory committee and the IPA Futures Group.

Following on from the acquisition of AVC last year Tim has been working with the Board, as a consultant, on the evolution of the Corporate Strategy and we are delighted that he has accepted our invitation to help us in the delivery and continued development of this over the coming years.
