Hill & Smith appoints Alan Giddins to its Board as Senior Independent Director

– UK, Solihull – Hill & Smith Holdings PLC (LSE:HILS), an international group with leading positions in the supply of infrastructure products and galvanizing services to global markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Giddins, as a Non-executive Director and the Group’s Senior Independent Director with effect from 3 October 2017.

Alan Giddins is a Managing Partner and co-head of Private Equity at 3i Group plc, and a member of its Executive Committee. He has extensive experience of sitting on the boards of international businesses, and is currently a non-executive director of two companies in which 3i has invested, JMJ Associates, a leading transformational consultancy focused on safety, headquartered in the US, and Audley Travel, a market leader in tailor-made experiential travel. Alan sits on the Remuneration and Audit Committees of both companies. Prior to joining 3i in 2005, he spent 13 years in investment banking advising a broad range of quoted companies. He qualified as a chartered accountant at KPMG in 1990 and has a degree in economics.
