Hansard Global welcomes Jose Ribeiro to its Board as Independent Director

– ISLE OF MAN, Douglas –  Hansard Global Plc (LON: HSD) today announced the appointment of Jose Ribeiro as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 2 December 2019.

“I welcome Jose to the Board and congratulate him on his appointment. His experience and expertise will bring a valuable perspective to the Board as the Group continues to implement its strategy for growth,” said Philip Gregory, Chairman of the Board.

About Jose Ribeiro

Jose has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry globally having been a board member in several jurisdictions around the world. He started his insurance career with American International Group in 1986 as a Life and Pensions actuary and spent the first 16 years of his career working in the Life and non-Life insurance industries working with subsidiaries of AIG and Munich Re, performing a variety of senior roles in Europe, the US and Latin America.

Since 2002 Jose has had a variety of roles including CEO for Latin America and the Caribbean at Willis, Director for International Markets at Lloyd’s of London and a member of its executive team where he was responsible for overseeing Lloyd’s trading platforms in China, Japan and Singapore, and Managing Director and Board Member for Asia-Pacific at A.M. Best. Jose moved to Hong Kong in 2016 where he resided until early 2019. Jose is a certified EU actuary with an MBA degree.
