Gresham House Energy Storage Fund appoints Cathy Pitt to its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, London – Gresham House Energy Storage Fund plc (LSE:GRID) today announced the appointment of Cathy Pitt as a Non-Executive Director on the Board with effect from 1 March 2019.

Commenting on the appointment, John Leggate, CBE, FREng, Chairman of Gresham House Energy Storage Fund, said: “I am pleased to welcome Cathy to the board. She has a particularly strong reputation in listed funds, an area in which she has been practising for over 20 years. Cathy is highly experienced in capital markets transactions, complex negotiations and corporate governance best practice. I am confident she will be an invaluable addition to the team and we look forward to working with her.”

Cathy is a legal adviser who has specialised in the investment company sector for over twenty years. Cathy is currently a partner at CMS, a top 10 global law firm, where she has spent the last five years building up the investment companies practice. Prior to joining CMS, Cathy worked in the Asset Management Practice of another top 10 global law firm for almost 20 years, for eight of which she was a partner. Cathy’s work has encompassed investment fund structuring and fundraisings for domestic and international investment funds. Since September 2018, Cathy has been a member of the Law Society Company Law Committee. She also sits on the Regulatory Committee of LPeC, the industry association for listed private capital funds.
