– USA, AZ – GlobalMed, the worldwide industry leader in telemedicine solutions, headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, announces the members of its new Board of Directors. The Board will play a key role in ensuring GlobalMed’s capacity to provide best-in-class products and services.
Joining the Board as Chairman is Jacque Sokolov, M.D., Chairman and CEO of SSB Solutions, Inc. and Healthcare Community Development Group, LLC. Dr. Sokolov has worked with top-tier academic health centers, hospital systems, health plans, physician organizations, emerging technology companies and private equity firms in virtually every major healthcare sector and market. He serves on the Board of Directors of MedCath Corporation (NASDAQ:MDTH), the National Health Foundation and Phoenix Children’s Hospital. His leadership experience has included: Vice-President of Healthcare for Southern California Edison Corporation (NYSE:EIX), Board Chair for Coastal Physician Group, Inc. (NYSE:ERDR), Executive Committee Chair of the White House Health Project, and a member of the Board of Directors of Hospira (NYSE:HSP). Dr. Sokolov received his medical degree from the USC School of Medicine after receiving his Bachelor of Science, Magna Cum Laude from USC.
Named to the GlobalMed Board of Directors as Vice-Chairman is Conrad Prusak, an international leadership coach serving corporate boards and management teams on two continents, as well as Master Chair for Vistage International, a leading peer advisory group firm. Earlier in his career, Mr. Prusak was President of Ethos Consulting, LLC and a managing partner with Heidrick & Struggles. He received his MBA in management from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
GlobalMed’s CEO, Joel E. Barthelemy, is the third member of the Board. Under his leadership, GlobalMed has improved the delivery of healthcare in more than 55 countries by designing the delivery system that’s enabled more nearly three million telemedicine consults annually. Joel has been widely recognized as a high-growth tech innovator and community advocate.
