Global Advanced Metals announces Mark Comerford and Peter Kong to Board of Directors

– USA, MA – Global Advanced Metals Pty Ltd (GAM), a world leader in the socially responsible production of tantalum, has announced the appointment of Mark Comerford and Peter Kong to its Board of Directors.

Mark Comerford has held progressive leadership positions with advanced engineered product companies servicing consumer electronics, aerospace, defense, industrial, telecoms, automotive and medical markets. Mr. Comerford is currently President and CEO at Haynes International, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAYN), which specializes in high performance alloys for use in high temperature, corrosion resistant applications such as in the aerospace industry, which also consumes tantalum metal products.

Peter Kong’s career has spanned various senior management positions with industrial and commercial manufacturing and electronic component distribution companies. Most recently, Mr Kong served as President of Global Components at Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: ARW), one of the world’s largest distributors of electronic components. In this role, Peter led global component distribution operations in 47 countries and territories. Electronic component distributors are a major sales channel for components such as tantalum capacitors and many types of tantalum containing semiconductors.
