– USA, CA – Freedom Innovations, an Irvine, California based leader in advanced technology prosthetic devices for lower limb amputees, today announced that it has added Achilleas Dorotheou and Christa Kreuzburg to its Board of Directors. Mr. Dorotheou and Dr. Kreuzburg are each experienced global operating executives with significant and longstanding experience in the healthcare industry.
Mr. Dorotheou is Vice President and Head of the Human Motion and Control (HMC) business unit with Parker Hannifin Corporation. He has led the development of Parker’s HMC strategy and headed the unit since its inception two years ago, including the commercialization process of the Indego powered exoskeleton device. Prior to his current role, Mr. Dorotheou spent eight years at Parker Hannifin in senior business development and merger and acquisition roles, including co-leading the formation of a strategic collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic involving the commercialization of several medical technologies in endoscopy and cancer drug delivery. Previously, he was a Principal in the Strategy and Organization consulting practice of Arthur D. Little, Inc. and Charles River Associates, working on assignments in the US, Europe, and the Middle East.
Dr. Kreuzburg has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare and chemicals sector. Her experience includes various leadership positions in the Pharmaceuticals division of Bayer Healthcare, including as head of Europe and Canada, and global leadership of Bayer’s primary care prescription drugs. Dr. Kreuzburg previously served as head of Bayer AG’s Corporate Strategic Planning department, and she has worked as a strategic consultant with growing healthcare companies. Currently, Dr. Kreuzburg is also a director at Tecan Group Ltd., a publically traded Swiss life sciences tools company.
