First Capital Ventures appoints Erin Turoff as COO and Managing Director

– USA, CO – Denver-based investment firm First Capital Ventures has raised the bar on cannabis industry finance with the addition of Erin Turoff as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director. In this new role, she oversees firm operations, fund management and capital raising efforts across all investment strategies, including cannabis.

Turoff moved to Colorado from New York City, where she demonstrated fund formation expertise as COO and Co-Founder of Red Ivy Capital, LLC, a quantitative investment firm focused on hedge funds. Eager to participate at the ground floor of an exploding industry, Turoff made the transition to Colorado and the cannabis movement.

“In alternative investing, we place well-calculated bets to grow client assets. Cannabis is no different than any other high-potential investment,” says Turoff. “We believe it is a lucrative strategy for investors to get in now, ahead of the large investment banks and multinational corporations – many of whom are ramping up for entry.”

Turoff joins First Capital Ventures’ Viridis Fund I team of industry experts, including Wall Street veteran Gary Graham and fellow Fund Managers Chris Franz and Brent Johnson.

“As a rising leader in the cannabis industry, First Capital Ventures has launched one of the first institutional-quality cannabis funds in the world,” says Turoff. “We have a highly experienced team with a deep investor network, and the ability and agility to discover outstanding companies like Coda Signature (the Fund’s first $2.5 million project), which is poised to become a disruptive force in the cannabis consumer space.”
