Farmers & Merchants Bank welcomes JoAnn Bourne and Christine Scheuneman to the Board of Directors

– USA, CA –  Farmers & Merchants Bank of Long Beach (OTCQB:FMBL) today announced that business leaders JoAnn M. Bourne and Christine A. Scheuneman have been elected to its board of directors.

They succeed William G. Hayter and Timothy W. Jackert, who are retiring from the board after serving for 31 years and 13 years, respectively.

“JoAnn and Christine bring deep and relevant experience to our Bank, and we welcome them as our newest directors,” said Daniel Walker, chief executive officer and chairman of the board. “At the same time, I extend thanks and gratitude to our two retiring board members, who served the Bank well and whose thoughtful guidance was valued throughout our organization.”

About JoAnn Bourne

Bourne, who becomes a member of the Bank’s Audit Committee, is a retired Senior Executive Vice President at MUFG Union Bank. She served on the Executive Management Committee and the US Management Committee in the Americas. Bourne has extensive executive experience in governance and risk management, commercial banking, global treasury management, technology, product management, global trading and trust custody services. She received a BA degree from Pepperdine University.

Aboutand Christine Scheuneman

Scheuneman, who becomes a member of the Bank’s Risk and Compliance Committee, is a recently retired partner with the law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. Her practice in complex business, class action and commercial matters has included real estate and finance clients, regulatory investigation and loan and asset workouts/acquisitions. She is skilled in national and international retail, as well as commercial and consumer product matters. Scheuneman is a published author on corporate governance and finance issues and is a Governance Fellow with the National Association of Corporate Directors. She received a JD degree from DePaul University College of Law and a BA degree from University of Kansas.
