European Wealth Group announces changes in its Corporate Governance

– UK, London – European Wealth (AIM: EWG, EWGL), the integrated wealth management group, is pleased to announce the following Board changes, effective immediately.

John Morton is to become Group Chief Executive from his previous role as Executive Chairman.

Kenneth ‘Buzz’ West, a Non-Executive Director, is appointed to Non-Executive Chairman. Kenneth is currently a senior Non-Executive director at AIM listed telecoms company, Norcon, and a Director of the Telematics group, Pinnacle Plus Holdings. He was previously the Chairman of AIM listed wealth manager, Ashcourt Rowan and Chairman of the loss adjusting group, GAB Robins.

Simon Ray, the Group Chief Operating Officer, is appointed to the Board as an Executive Director. He was previously the head of Aventus Capital Management, and has over 20 years’ experience in the wealth management industry. He joined European Wealth as part of the acquisition of Aventus in 2011.

John Morton, Group Chief Executive of European Wealth said: “We are delighted to appoint Buzz to Non-Executive Chairman. He has been a valuable member of the Board and we look forward to continuing to draw upon his experience as European Wealth grows.

“I am also delighted that Simon has agreed to join the Board. In his capacity as Chief Operating Officer he has been instrumental in supporting the development of European Wealth as an established wealth management business.”
