– FRANCE – Since its creation in 2010, Ethera has become a key player in the field of indoor air quality. The company has developed innovative solutions for the diagnosis, monitoring and elimination of chemical pollution from the indoor air of public and private buildings. Today, Ethera is announcing the appointment of Frederic Hammel to the position of Chief Executive Officer. As successor to Yves Bigay, founding partner of the Company, the new CEO aims to continue the development of new products, while boosting Ethera’s expansion worldwide.
A former student of the Ecole Normale Superieure with a Master’s degree in Biology – Biochemistry as well as an MBA awarded by the College des Ingenieurs, Frederic Hammel has solid experience in the industry and start-ups. His career began in 1991 as a production manager, after which he became manager of an industrial launch at Rhône Poulenc Rorer. In 1998, he joined Air Liquide Sante International as Directeur Recherche & Developpement “Infection Control”, going on to take up general manager positions within such young, innovative companies as Soluscope in 2000, TxCell in 2005 and then Platine Pharma Services in 2011.
Having completed a transition period as deputy Director, shadowing Yves Bigay, Frederic Hammel is now succeeding M Bigay, who is taking up the position of Chairman of the Board at Ethera.

I am also thrilled to be joining this talented team to drive the company’s growth, particularly on a worldwide scale,” states Frederic Hammel, CEO at Ethera.
Established in 2010, Ethera develops and markets measuring and purification kits, simplifying the diagnosis, monitoring and elimination of chemical pollution from the indoor air of public and private buildings. Its technology is supported by its unique expertise in engineering nanoporous materials. Based in Grenoble and Saclay, Ethera employs a staff of 18.
