easyJet announces Andrew Findlay as upcoming CFO and Board member

– UK, London – easyJet plc, Europe’s leading airline, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Findlay, currently CFO of Halfords plc, as CFO. Andrew will be joining the Board of easyJet plc as a director and CFO by the end of October 2015.

Carolyn McCall, CEO of easyJet said: “I and the easyJet team are delighted to welcome Andrew as CFO. He is a proven FTSE 250 CFO with great consumer experience and a strong focus on cost. He is part of the leadership team at Halfords which has created a much more customer centric and profitable business. Andrew is a great fit for easyJet and I am sure he will add a lot of value to the airline.”

Andrew has been Halfords Chief Financial Officer since 1 February 2011. Prior to that Andrew was Director of Finance, Tax and Treasury at Marks & Spencer and before that he held senior finance roles at the London Stock Exchange and at Cable & Wireless, both in the UK and US. Andrew brings significant and proven experience of both operational and financial management. Andrew qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand.

Andrew is currently a director of Halfords Group plc.

Andrew will succeed Chris Kennedy following the announcement on 8 January 2015 of his intention to become the CFO of ARM Holdings plc. The terms of Chris Kennedy’s contract with easyJet require that he serve a notice period of up to one year. A further announcement on Chris’s departure date will be made in due course.
