Dukosi appoints Nat Edington as CEO

– UK, Edinburgh – Dukosi, the developer of disruptive battery management technology, today announces the appointment of Nat Edington as Chief Executive Officer.

The appointment comes as the Edinburgh-based company introduces its revolutionary wireless battery cell management solution to industrial, grid, marine and automotive markets. Backed by IP Group plc and Scottish Enterprise, the company is poised for significant growth.

Global demand for batteries is growing rapidly, and the demands of complex, high voltage, multi-cell applications are pushing traditional battery pack management technologies to their limits. Analysts variously predict that the battery sector for electric vehicles alone will rise to a $10 billion market by 2020.

Nat joins Dukosi from AMS AG, where he was VP & GM of the Environmental Sensors Group, focused on automotive and consumer markets.

Previously Nat was CEO of Cambridge CMOS Sensors, building from start up to global product leader in high volume semiconductor gas sensor solutions and leading their sale to AMS in 2016. Prior to that, he led business lines at Scottish semiconductor success story Wolfson Microelectronics, where he developed their high-volume audio chip business to annual sales of over $100m.

Dukosi has pre-production devices entering customer evaluation and is engaging in trials in various market segments, to demonstrate the flexibility, simplicity and increased functionality of its cell monitoring systems for the next generation of high capacity battery packs.

Nat Edington, CEO at Dukosi, said: “I am thrilled to have joined Dukosi at such an exciting time, when our product is now able to be shared with our partners. The company has developed one of the most innovative technology solutions I have seen in advanced microelectronics, together with the cell modelling and applications software that brings it to life, and I look forward to driving further innovation in this space.

Clive Scrivener, Chair at Dukosi, said: “Dukosi and our shareholders are delighted to welcome Nat on board. He has an exceptional track record in building global business in our field. He joins us at a very exciting time, as Dukosi seeks to play its role in furthering technology that supports the increasing importance and use of batteries.”
