– UK, Selby – Drax Group plc (LSE:DRX), today announced that Vanessa Simms is to be appointed as a Non-Executive Director, with effect from 19 June 2018.
Vanessa is Chief Financial Officer at Grainger plc and has a strong background in listed businesses, with more than 20 years experience working in senior leadership roles at Unite Group plc, SEGRO plc, Stryker Corp and Vodafone Group plc. She has particular expertise in leading and implementing strategic change.

Vanessa has been appointed as a member of the Company’s Audit Committee. She will work closely with the current Audit Chair, David Lindsell, in anticipation of her succeeding David when he steps down in 2019.
She has also been appointed as a member of the Company’s Nomination and Remuneration committees.
