Deep Information Sciences appoints Robert Roblin and Bret Miller to the Board of Directors

– USA, MA – Deep Information Sciences, the company that reinvented database science for the Big Data age, today announced that Robert Roblin and Bret Miller have joined the company as board of directors member and VP of global sales, respectively. The tech veterans’ extensive experience bringing disruptive infrastructure technologies to market and driving revenue will help fuel adoption of Deep Engine, the first adaptive plug-and-play solution that transforms existing databases into Big Data solutions.

“Although we launched Deep Engine only a month ago, we’re already seeing great traction from companies wanting a much more agile and powerful way to work with and leverage their data. Robert and Bret have the expertise we need to capitalize on this tremendous opportunity,” said Les Yetton, CEO, Deep Information Sciences. “Robert has a wealth of data market experience and incredible acumen around business growth and exits, including his tenures at IBM and Splunk. Bret is a top-performing sales exec who truly understands what it takes to build high velocity sales teams selling game-changing technologies. I’m excited to have them join our team.”

“Deep is addressing a problem today’s data-driven economy urgently needs to solve. With its groundbreaking database science, it enables businesses to finally overcome debilitating and previously insurmountable database limitations, so they can very quickly and effectively react to market opportunities,” Roblin said. “With a field-tested product and an executive team and board that are proven at building and growing successful technology companies, I believe the opportunities for Deep are tremendous. I’m thrilled to be part of the team.”

“Businesses need to ensure their systems can perform and scale as fast and as big as their data requires. Deep makes this possible in a way no other vendor has been able to do. In field testing and comparison benchmarks against highly tuned database technologies, Deep delivers orders of magnitude better speed, scale and compression, while ensuring data is highly available and resilient,” said Miller. “The use cases for Deep Engine are broad, from protecting data, to accelerating development of next-gen applications, to powering Internet of Things solutions. I’m looking forward to helping drive adoption by everyone from new economy startups to enterprises and service providers.”

Roblin is a serial entrepreneur focused on helping founders and startups build valuable businesses, and a recognized expert in data and analytics. Currently a partner at Hill Country Group, Roblin has over 35 years experience building and growing technology based businesses, from start-ups to Fortune 500 multi-national companies. His expertise in developing differentiated product and go-to-market strategy is augmented by his ability to drive execution by attracting and retaining high-performance teams. This has consistently created shareholder value, demonstrated by five successful acquisition exits and two IPOs in his career. Previously, at IBM Tivoli, Roblin identified acquisition opportunities and served as the post-acquisition integration executive. He has held executive marketing positions at Covad Communications, Adobe, Pensoft and Claris – Apple Computer. In addition to being on Deep’s board of directors, Roblin is on the board of Data Torrent and was previously a board member at Splunk.
