Dalata Hotel Group appoints Elizabeth McMeikan to its Board as Independent Director

– IRELAND, Dublin –  Dalata Hotel Group plc (ISE: DHG | LON: DAL), the largest hotel operator in Ireland with a growing presence in the United Kingdom, today announced the appointment of Elizabeth McMeikan to the Board as an Independent, Non-Executive Director with effect from 8 October 2019.

About Elizabeth McMeikan

Elizabeth McMeikan is an experienced executive and has served on the boards of both public and private companies. Elizabeth is currently the Senior Independent Director at jd Wetherspoon plc and the Senior Independent Director at Unite Group plc; where she chairs the Board’s Remuneration Committee. Elizabeth is also a Non-Executive Director at private company Fresca Group Ltd.

Elizabeth has significant experience in customer-focused businesses, having spent her executive career at Colgate Palmolive before taking up a role with Tesco Plc. Elizabeth established Tesco Express in 1994 and was appointed Stores Board Director for Change Management and Human Resources in 1997.
