CU Bancorp appoints David Holman to its Board as Independent Director

– USA, CA – CU Bancorp (Nasdaq: CUNB), the parent company of wholly owned California United Bank, today announced the Company’s Board of Directors has appointed independent director David C. Holman to the newly created position of Lead Director.

The new role of Lead Director includes responsibilities such as: presiding at all meetings at which the Chairman is not present, serving as liaison between the Chairman and non-management directors, and working with the chairman on meeting agendas and time schedules for the Board. The Lead Director also has the authority to call meetings of the independent directors.

Holman has been a director of CU Bancorp and California United Bank since the merger of 1st Enterprise Bank with California United Bank in November 2014. He served as Chairman of the board of directors for 1st Enterprise Bank from its incorporation in February 2006 until the merger last year. Holman was formerly a senior executive at First Interstate Bank in Los Angeles and has been actively involved in the commercial banking industry in California as a banker or investor for more than 40 years.
