CSS Industries appoints Steve Crane to its Board of Directors

– USA, PA – CSS Industries, Inc. (NYSE: CSS) announced that Stephen P. Crane has been elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the Company. Mr. Crane brings more than 40 years of experience advising both private and publicly held companies on accounting, auditing, private capital, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and subsequent registrations with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He also has provided executive and financial guidance with other business issues in a variety of industries, including private equity, biotechnology and other healthcare companies, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, gaming, leasing, service and technology. From 1989 until his retirement in June 2015, Mr. Crane was a partner with Ernst & Young LLP, where he served as the lead assurance partner on numerous public and privately held clients. Since June 2015, Mr. Crane has served as the Chair of the Board of Trustees of Thomas Jefferson University (“TJU”), and previously served on the Board of Trustees of Abington Health System from 2006 until its May 2015 merger with TJU. He is a graduate of Muhlenberg College, and is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
