Craven House Capital appoints Richard Burrows to its Board of Directors as Chairman alongside Mark Pajak as Non-Executive Director

– UK, London – Craven House Capital (AIM:CRV) announces that Mr. Richard Burrows has been appointed to the Board of the Company as Chairman with immediate effect. Acting Chairman, Mr. Mark Pajak, will remain on the Board as Non-Executive Director.

Mr. Burrows brings considerable experience to the Board, having spent over 35 years leading successful businesses in a diverse range of sectors from consumer goods to banking and financial services and will offer the benefit of extensive international experience in both developed and emerging markets. Mr. Burrows is currently Chairman of British American Tobacco Plc and Non-Executive Director at Rentokil Initial Plc and Carlsberg A/S.

Outgoing Chairman, Mark Pajak commented, “Craven House Capital shareholders are fortunate to have such a seasoned professional as Chairman as we continue to grow the Company. Mr. Burrows’ extensive experience in our target markets and his relationships will be invaluable to the Company.”

Mr. Burrows is a qualified accountant. His executive career has been with Irish Distillers, where he was Chief Executive from 1978 to 2000 and at Pernod Ricard, where he was Co-Chief Executive from 2000 to 2005. He has been Chairman of British American Tobacco since 2009 and prior to that served as director, then Governor, of Bank of Ireland from 2000 to 2009.
