Computacenter appoints Philip Yea to the Board as Senior Independent Non-Executive Director

– UK, Hatfield – Computacenter plc announces the appointment of Philip Yea as the Senior Independent non-executive Director of the Company and the Chairman of its Remuneration Committee, with immediate effect.

Philip is currently the non-executive Chairman of the Board of bwin.party digital entertainment plc, a non-executive director of both Vodafone Group plc and Aberdeen Asian Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the British Heart Foundation. He is also a trustee of the Francis Crick Institute. He retires from the supervisory board of Rocket Internet ES at the conclusion of its AGM today.

He has significant previous Executive Management experience, having served as the Chief Executive of 3i Group plc between 2004 and 2009, and additionally as a Managing Director of Investcorp from 1999 to 2004. Prior to this, he was also the Finance Director at Diageo plc, and played a substantial role in the merger to create Diageo in his role as Finance Director of Guinness plc.

He has held previous public company non-executive directorships at Manchester United plc (2000-2004) as the Senior Independent Director, HBOS plc (2000-2004), Halifax plc (1999-2000) and William Baird plc (1995-1999).
