Chrysalis VCT appoints Robert Jeens to its Board as Non-Executive Director alongside Martin Knight as new Chairman

– UK, London – Chrysalis VCT Plc (LSE:CYS) confirmed that as already announced, the Chairman, Peter Harkness retired from the Board on 30 September 2017. Martin Knight has been appointed as Chairman in his place.

The Board commented “Peter has been a major influence on Chrysalis VCT since he joined the Board in 2005. He took over as Chairman in 2008 and has presided over a period of excellent performance for the Company in which the self-managed structure has continued to be very effective. We thank Peter for his substantial contribution over the last 12 years. We will miss his leadership and wish him well.”

The Company also announces the appointment of Robert Jeens as a new non-executive director with effect from 2 October 2017. Robert has extensive experience in the asset management industry and significant exposure to the technology sector. He is Chairman of Allianz Technology Trust PLC and Remote Media Group Limited and a non-executive director of JPMorgan Russian Securities plc. He trained as a chartered account with Touche Ross and was subsequently Finance Director of Kleinwort Benson and Woolwich plc. He has also been chairman of nCipher plc (from 2006 until it was acquired in 2008) and a non-executive director of Henderson Group plc (from 2009 to 2017), TR European Growth Trust PLC (from 2002 to 2014) and Dialight plc (from 2001 to 2010).

Robert will take over from Martin Knight as Chairman of the Audit Committee.
