Changfeng Energy appoints Ann Siyin Lin as Chair and CEO and announces Frederick Wong Wai Keung as new Board member

– CANADA, Toronto – Changfeng Energy Inc., (TSX:CFY), an energy provider in the People’s Republic of China, announces that, effective February 22, 2019, Huajun Lin, Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Company will resign all of his positions with the Company, including the role of CEO, Chairman and director, due to health reasons. Mr. Lin will continue to serve Changfeng as an advisor.

The board of directors of the Company has appointed Ms Ann Siyin Lin, Vice President of Corporate Development and director of the Board as the new CEO and Chair of Changfeng.

Mr. Frederick Wong Wai Keung, Changfeng’s senior consultant, has been appointed to the Board to fill the vacancy left by Mr. Lin’s resignation.

The Board would like to thank Mr. Lin for his outstanding service to Changfeng in the 20 years that he has been with the Company and for his strategic foresight in leading the Company into the clean energy sector.

“I am truly heartened by where Changfeng is at right now,” said Huajun Lin. “Changfeng has stable cash flows and fast-growing new areas of operation. To be sure, there will always be challenges, but I feel that Changfeng is now poised to enter an exciting period in its history. My successor, Ann Lin, has served the Company since 2005 and has been a key member of the senior management team. Ann has intimate knowledge of the daily operation and strategic direction of Changfeng. Ann has spearheaded the Company’s efforts in the EDF Changfeng Integrated Smart Energy Project in Haitang Bay, as well as the LNG supply distribution operation in Hebei, the PRC. I trust Ann, along with the Board and senior management team, to lead Changfeng going forward.”

About Ann Lin Siyin

Ms Ann Lin Siyin, was appointed as a director of the Company on January 15, 2018. Prior to her appointment as CEO, she served as the Vice President of Corporate Development and Corporate Secretary of the Company. Ms Lin is mainly responsible for overseeing the operation and management of the Group. Ms Lin has more than 10 years of experience in enterprise operation and management. Ms Lin joined CF China in July 2005 as special assistant to the Chairman.

Frederick Wong Wai Keung, served as a senior consultant providing strategic and financial advice to the Group, including leading the Hong Kong IPO initiative. Mr. Wong has over 35 years of audit, finance and M&A experience gained with an international CPA firm and listed companies in the United Kingdom, New Zealand, the PRC, Thailand and Hong Kong. He has been a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales since December 1993 and a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants since June 1991. He is currently an independent director of three HKSE-listed companies.
