Casper Malig Appointed UK Managing Director for T-Systems

LONDON, – T-Systems today announce that Casper Malig has joined the company as Managing Director for its UK business. With a strong track record from a number of executive positions with global IT services companies, including CSC and EDS, Casper Malig will assume responsibility for leading T-Systems’ UK business in its next phase of development. He succeeds Sam Kingston, who will remain at T-Systems until the end of September in order to secure a smooth handover.

T-Systems is focusing on sustainable, profitable growth in the UK, the most developed and most mature ICT market in Europe. T-Systems’ customers in the UK already include multinational groups such as OEMs, travel company TUI and oil giant BP.

Casper Malig joins T-Systems from CSC, where he has been a Vice President holding a number of different roles demonstrating an ability to manage complex IT engagements across multiple geographies. Being a Danish national Casper Malig started his career in the Danish Ministry of Interior in 1994. He joined CSC in Scandinavia in 1997, and was relocated to CSC’s UK business in 2000. From 2000-2005 Casper held a number of international management positions before moving to EDS as Managing Director leading expansion in the Commercial Industries sectors in UK. Casper Malig returned to CSC in 2007 as Vice President for the Chemicals & Energy Sector and the Manufacturing Sector across UK, Nordics and Middle East & Africa. From 2009 to 2012 Casper Malig was stationed in Switzerland leading one of CSC’s largest commercial contracts with a global insurance company. Recently Casper Malig has been leading CSC’s applications business across EMEA and the engagement with the UK Department of Health.

Casper Malig holds a MSc in Economics from University of Odense, a Diploma in Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School and he is a graduate from the INSEAD Advanced Management Programme.

At the same time, T-Systems announces its new regional structure for Sales with Americas, EMEA, Germany and Asia-Pacific, with Steffen Schlaberg responsible for Sales in the EMEA region. Along with T-Systems’ UK operations, he is also responsible for Sales in France, Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Slovakia and South Africa, among other countries.
